For our 5th edition of Peachy Gems, we visited Sonora Taquería in Stoke Newington.
This spot is far from a hidden gem but definitely a favourite amongst the Peachy Den team. Michelle and her husband Sam opened their Mexican street food stall in February 2020 in Netil Market. Thanks to the busy football from lockdown it became a sell out success and they opened their first brick and mortar in June 2023.
We sat down with Michelle, Ana and Sara to enjoy some freshly prepared tacos and agua frescas. Michelle explained that herself and Sam are locals to the area and source a majority of their ingredients from the veg and meat suppliers in the neighbourhood.
Staying true to their Northern Mexican roots, Sonora's tortillas are made from flour and you can purchase their homemade tortillas to make tacos at home.
For easy dining with a friendly atmosphere, Sonora Taquería is the place to go. Open Thursday to Sunday, 12-4pm.
