After visiting Japan a few times, I knew I had to shoot Peachy Den in Tokyo. Tokyo’s unmistakable charm and vibrant colours perfectly align with the essence of Peachy. The models, Ran and Ruki had the best energy and it all felt right.

I met Ruki the last time I was in Tokyo. She was DJing at a female-led party, and Ran I met by chance on Brick Lane whilst she was visiting London the week before I left. I shot the girls separately at different locations in my air bnb's. Both shoots felt very homely and chill. Ruki was shot in Hatagaya and Ran was in Shinjuku.

Not only is Tokyo incredibly visually captivating, but the people of Japan are a big part of what makes the city so special, and why I’m always drawn to shoot there. Their kindness adds something truly magical to every project. It was an absolute blessing to work on this one, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again soon.

Phoebe's Tokyo Recommendations
Food
- Kaikaya by the sea, the most beautiful seafood restaurant and the staff make you feel right at home.
- Breakfast Club for a late brunch.
- Menchirashi is a great udon spot but you may have to queue.

Shopping
- Don Quijote, a mega store for all things skincare, treats, costumes and more.
- Vintage clothes shopping is best in areas like Kōenji and Shimokitazaw.

Relaxing
For a relaxing stay outside of Tokyo I really recommend visiting Hakone, the onsen town located outside of Tokyo near Mt Fuji. You stay in a Ryokan style hotel with a private onsen. They will provide traditional food throughout your stay. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and pampered.
